Displaced Voices

The title, Displaced Voices, refers to the voices of people who are displaced both internally and across borders by the effects of environmental changes - climate change - and inequitable social and political systems. The music in the program mirrors and echos this forced displacement and amplifies the loss of culture and physical heritage that are the poignant manifestations of the displacement. Music, as a moving force, metaphorically embodies this physical displacement by acting on listeners and taking them from one place to another.
